This $400MM US Owned Textile Manufacturer has been in business for 50+ years.  They have had to change with the times but still bring a sophisticated and complex product to the market place. They are handling Apparel, Automotive, Medical and Home Textile products. Full benefits and relocation assistance provided.

Position is responsible for day to day maintenance operations at 675,000 sq. ft. textile manufacturing site including utilities, project management, PM's, waste water treatment and environmental compliance with a goal of zero downtime.

  • Facilitate all maintenance projects in site
  • Coordinate and schedule work order for equipment maintenance, including preventive maintenance and facilities management for the site
  • Work closely with departmental management to drive operational improvements in production, cost of quality and safety
  • Reduce equipment downtime and increase overall equipment effectiveness within the site
  • Develop, implement and manage a preventive, predictive and total maintenance program
  • Will ensure that all aspects of the program are being implemented and serve as a knowledge base about the program itself
  • Must provide feedback on the effects of the program to employees on a regular basis. Successful candidate is expected to act as a TPM/PM knowledge resource base for their employees
  • Will participate in several ongoing continuous improvement teams and take on various small projects which drive the continuous improvement activities of the site
  • Effectively communicate to the shop floor
  • Oversee the day to day management and oversight of all department operations, equipment repair and maintenance, planning, resolving problems, setting deadlines to assure all objectives are met


Acts as mentor, trains and coaches to maximize individual and departmental performance

Scheduling department operations to meet deadlines

Works with departments to assist in resolving technical issues, quality and other problems

Studies and reviews manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency and continuous improvement of production methods, labor, energy and equipment

Assists in determining staffing levels

Assures a safe and orderly work environment and compliance with corporate and governmental rules and regulations

Acts as company representative and enforces policies, work rules, and other directives



  • 5+ years of experience as a Plant Engineer in a Manufacturing/Operations environment
  • 3+ years of managing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred
  • PLC Programming and AUTOCAD required
  • Past success developing, implementing and managing a preventative predictive and total maintenance program
  • Experience with ISO, Lean and Six Sigma desirable
