Major Responsibilities:

The Mail Room Lead/Supervisor will assist the Mail Services Manager on daily basis with establishing smooth flow of all inbound and outbound receipts. This includes ensuring time sensitive transactions are processed and delivered within accepted or standardized delivery guidelines.  The Mail Room Lead/Supervisor will work with internal customers with the intake and processing of all outbound receipts while capturing pertinent essential information. The role will provide assistance with and/or provide direct supervision and assignment to Mail room clerks to address the changing needs and priorities of the department. 

 

Role responsibilities include

1. Assist manager on daily basis with establishing smooth flow of all 

    inbound and outbound receipts.

2. Ensure time sensitive transactions are processed and delivered within 

    accepted or standardized delivery guidelines.

3. Work with internal customers with intake and processing of all    

    outbound receipts while capturing pertinent essential information

4. Provide assistance with and or provide direct supervision and 

    assignments to Mail room clerks to address the changing needs and 

    priorities of the department

5. Ensure that established housekeeping standards are maintained

6. When necessary, involvement with delivery and pick up of USPS Mail    

    and parcels from various Carriers on a daily basis to assigned floors

7. Assisting with Inter-store pouches and outbound receipts on      

    computerized shipping system

8. Working with copier fleet managing consumables and addressing paper     jams preventing escalated tech calls.

9. Providing assistance with floor moves when they materialize

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year supervisory experience
  • Five (5) years former experience in a mail room environment.
  • Some heavy lifting involved. 
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and high energy.
  • Needs to be familiar with computerized shipping and tracking systems.
  • Needs to be able to function in a team environment.
  • Needs to develop and maintain good working relationships.
