Location/Store Planner

The Store Planner is responsible for the development of location level department sales plans that influence inventory buys and allocation strategy; performing store and department level performance analysis and translating that knowledge into in season re projections that inform allocation strategies; and the ownership of store attributing and fleet segmentation.

Primary Responsibilities Include

DIG Management
•Build relational location level department sales plans that inform CC planning, buy quantities and inventory allocation using internally designed planning tools
•Utilize knowledge of fleet to evaluate missed opportunity and effectively inform in season re projection and influence departmental replenishment strategies
•Analyze sales performance by DIG vs. forecast to understand variability, inform future DIG strategy and methodology
•DIG functional expert for CFT- Allocation Strategy, Merchandise Planning and Merchandising

Store Performance Tracking & Inventory Management

•Compile comprehensive weekly store reporting package for Senior Leadership and FLT including Store Planning Recap to synthesize key themes within the fleet that impacted weekly business results
•Analyze and investigate district and store performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to evaluate key business drivers and challenges, and establish perspective on market and location level trends and opportunities
•Track and log weekly weather and events that impact store comp performance
•Compile and present region, district and store level performance analysis in monthly fleet review, identify replicable patterns of winning and incorporate findings in planning and projection processes
•Track and control movement of inventory; Evaluate sales and gross margin maximization potential of each transfer request, determine the optimal store(s) to receive in or transfer out units, partner with store operations to facilitate payroll execution, communicate resulting transfer strategy to appropriate field partners
•Responsible for total box inventory management through monitoring of sell through, weeks on hand, and unit density to minimize variability within the fleet
•Partner with field in hind sighting store performance to capitalize on localized inventory opportunities and maximize sales potential
•Manage new store openings, relos, expansions and closings including inventory management, analysis and ad hoc reporting

Field Partnership

•Primary conduit for Field Leadership Team on high level inventory management callouts and concerns
•Ongoing field support and education around global allocation strategies

Store Attribute Management

•Own and manage assortment tiers and attribute groups
•Develop store knowledge based on geographical attributes, field communication, store surveys, store visits and historical performance
•Continually explore innovative ways to segment the fleet to uncover localized trends and opportunities

Goal Planning

•Utilize established knowledge of fleet performance to inform and influence goal planning
•Monitor store goal performance including all levers that drives sales (Conversion, DPT, Traffic) and ensure data integrity

Testing

•Assist in the execution and evaluation of promotional testing and recommendation of data driven strategies

Position Requirements

•College degree
•1-2 years’ retail experience and work experience in an analytical field desired
•Financial and business acumen
•Analytical, able to transform qualitative and quantitative data into executable strategies
•Understands commitments and possesses strong organizational and time management skills
•Flexible and adaptable to change
•Strong listening skills; effective and clear verbal and written communication with an appropriate sense of urgency
•Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and able to quickly learn new tools and applications
