POSITION SUMMARY:

The Licensing Merchandising Coordinator will support the end-to-end procurement process to allow for the international distributors, licensees and in-house divisions to purchase product and ensure the execution of seasonal buying.

This role will coordinate end-to-end procurement process, both the coordination with cross-functional teams at a key licensee (Sportswear, Dresses, Performance, Handbags and SLGs, Men’s Outerwear, Women’s Outerwear, Suits Separates, and Cold Weather Accessories) and the communication with international distributors (Mexico, Panama, Brazil, Europe and Australia). Responsible for consolidating international orders and submitting seasonal buys, implementing modifications indicated by Licensee production teams, collecting purchase orders from international distributors and ensuring timely shipment of goods to consolidator. Simultaneously supports North America Outlet tag-on process. This role will be responsible for analyzing data to make relevant and actionable recommendations and executes any ad hoc Merchandise Operations projects.
 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procurement Process (80% of job scope):

  • Day-to-day oversight of procurement process for obtaining product from a Calvin Klein key licensee
  • Maintain relationships with each divisional account executive, production personnel and compliance members at key licensee
  • Become key conduit of all communication between licensee and international markets surrounding market information, style changes and/or delivery updates
  • Seasonally collect market dates, color cards and develop line sheets from both internal NAO division and from key licensee
  • Create and manage global market calendar
  • Manage seasonal order process from creation of line list to submission, update and maintain buys reflecting production changes and delays
  • Coordinate the consolidation of calls as well as other seasonal tasks, as needed
  • Facilitate communication between key licensee Production department and international markets
  • Partner with EMEA office leader on logistics on all shipping issues
  • Oversee the international North America Outlet Tag-on process for apparel and accessories
  • Develop report of seasonal assortment analytics by international market to present to management

Cross Functional Partnership
 

  • Act as the hub between the channels of  Licensee sales, compliance, production, logistics, and buying
  • Understand the goals and functions of all parties involved (GIII/International Distributors/Logistics) to ensure you align and support these brand goals
  • Build a relationship with all executive account sales teams (GIII) to create synergy across CK collection each season
  • Develop a close relationship with the international distributors and ensure collaboration to achieve common goals (i.e. MOQ requirements) each season
     

Global Licensing (20% of job scope):

  • Day-to-day communication and support needs of Global Licensing team, licensees and internal cross-functional teams
  • Create templates for monthly business recaps, retailer / management meetings, and other ad hoc reports and ensure information is collected in a timely manner
  • Assist Global Licensing team with special projects and analysis (i.e. semi-annual strategy meetings, competitive analysis, store visits, etc.)
  • Maintain understanding of license contracts and keep legal files up to date
  • Assist with the monitoring of licensees compliance to ensure businesses follow the established contract
  • Manage the account approval process and handle all documentation
  • Arrange meetings, develop agendas, and prepare meeting handouts
  • Liaise with customer service, regional offices, and licensees on new business inquiries
  • Stay up to date on the retail landscape and report on relevant news

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with a strong emphasis in Excel data management
  • Prioritizes effectively and adjusts to changing demands; demonstrate strong time management skills
  • Self-starter, ability to take initiative and ownership of work, proactively seeks information
  • Strong communication and influence/negotiation skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Must be resourceful, problem-solver & team player
  • Knowledge of the retail and competitive brand landscape
  • Foreign Languages (Spanish/Portuguese) a plus
  • Experience working with international licensees a plus
