LICENSING MANAGER

Our client, a children's apparel company that creates licensed apparel and private label products, is looking for a Licensing Manager to join their team. 

Salary/Hourly Rate: $70-80K

Position Overview: The Licensing Manager will work directly with the VP in managing the entirety of the licensing process.  Must be ok with the clerical side of the licensing business as well as willingness to work closely with the creative teams and licensors on approvals.

Responsibilities of the Licensing Manager:

• Work directly with the creative team to be sure all licensed art is approved according to guidelines prior to submission
• Submit all designs and samples for licensor approvals
• Manage all communication between the licensor and creative team
• Work with licensors for delivery of packaging, sales collateral and promotions
• Provide licensor with sales data
• Arrange all meetings and phone calls with licensors and provide recaps to all relevant parties
• Update the product matrix to communicate what properties and categories can be sold to which accounts and communicate internally and to the licensors
• Create appropriate timing and action calendars for licensors, sales and production for the timely receipt of style guides, samples, orders and production to ensure a seamless work flow from start to finish
• Review licensor contracts
• Help to identify new licensing opportunities
• Manage one direct report
• Be the primary contact with all licensors

Qualifications for the Licensing Manager: 

• Similar project management experience in a consumer products environment either specific to licensing, product management or sales role
• Strong computer skills particularly in regards to creating spreadsheets, project management and presentations
• Extremely articulate and organized with strong verbal, written and presentation skills

Education Requirements: 

• College degree strongly preferred
