Junior Cost Accountant - PVH Corp.POSITION SUMMARY:
The Junior Cost Accountant is responsible for the detailed review and processing of FOB, Freight and Duty Invoices related to the Neckwear Division of the Company. Further, this role is responsible for the accurate reporting of related open liabilities for the Division at month, quarter and year-end close.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
- Invoice review and processing
- Review and code FOB invoices to ensure payments are timely and accurate.
- Reconcile Invoices against receiving report and system purchase order.
- Review and code Freight and Duty invoices to ensure payments are timely and accurate.
- Research and resolve any invoice discrepancies and variances, outside of tolerance level.
- Assist with month, quarter, and year end closings
- Calculate and journalize an accurate accrual for unpaid FOB shipments.
- Review Shipment Tracking Report in order to calculate and journalize an accurate accrual of Freight and Duty payments, for shipments received and unpaid.
- Preparation of reconciliation schedules.
- Special Projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: Minimum 1 year of accounting experience.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Skills:
- Excellent computer skills, Excel experience a must.
- Prior GL SAP experience preferred.
- Must be very organized, be able to work independently, and have excellent attention to detail.
