Jr. Stylist

Job Description

The Jr. Stylist will be responsible for assisting and following direction from the stylist in preparing and managing merchandise and sets for all on-figure, virtual-model and still life product photography shoots for our e-commerce site.  This person will be collaborating with our Photographers, Stylists and Hair & Make-up to ensure the brand aesthetic is being successfully translated.  This person must also be able to style still life under the guidance of stylists.  This person must be able to work under extreme fast paced conditions and be flexible to adapt to change within the photography process.

The Stylist will also: 

• Collaborate with the Stylists and Photographers to deliver consistent, high quality and on standard product/fashion photography aligned with company goals
• Iron and steam soft goods for photo shoots
• Stuffing merchandise for propping
• Prepares merchandise for photo shoots and ensure product is consistent with established style guides
• Assist in preparing models (both virtual and conventional) for photo shoots
• Execute work in an efficient manner on set as well as overseeing assistant stylist’s sets to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met and on standard
• Anticipate and resolve creative challenges by using appropriate resources and/or solutions
• Stay current on the design/fashion industry including global and consumer trends, assessing and communicating their potential impact to the business
• Maintain current knowledge of competitive landscape

Qualifications

• A post-secondary degree or diploma in Photography, Graphic Design, Fashion Design or related discipline (desired)
• Minimum 2 years of experience within high-end retail fashion/e-commerce
• Possesses superior soft good styling techniques
• Experience with propping of sets
• Experience with hard goods styling as asset
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to perform under pressure and demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to work with, guide, train and mentor Jr. stylists and assistant stylists
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Operating experience of Mac OS
