Job Description

The Product Development Internship will assist product development/merchandising teams with the market preparation.The position will assist the teams in upholding brand merchandising strategies and brand quality standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

                   Product Review:

    • Create factory development line-sheets to review new factory product

      Organize the samples for review

    • Develop/get approved new handbag names

    • Tag handbags with names and prices

       

      Comment Sheets:

    • Update comment sheets to CHO and factories

    • Update lap dip comments in material chart

       

      Market Prep:

    • Create color/material cards

    • Send market packet info to international and outlet

    • Update tote/satchel/cross body assortment projects with new market styles

    • Update line sheets/MMF for pricing/material changes

    • Set up showroom by price/ silhouette

       

      Materials:

    • Organize market material archive, set up easy to use system

    • Create material sourcing library

       

      Confirmation samples:

    • Tag with new name

    • Put in showroom to replace 1st sample. Box up old sample

    • Organize Closets

       

      Line Sheets:

    • Assist on New factory line sheets – add pictures / make updates

    • Create Line sheet by month after orders are complete

    • Inserts pics to old order logs

       

      Update Data File:

    • Update group name

    • Updated wholesales / msrps

    • Make changes based on meetings

Qualifications

  • Area of study in Product Development or similar

  • Flexible to the changing demands of business.

  • Strong communication skills with all levels of management.

  • Working knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Microsoft Word).
