Intern, Merchandise Operations - Item Set-up

Job Description

We are seeking driven, high-performing college juniors or seniors for our 2017 fall internship in Operations and Item Setup in New York City. During this internship, interns will work with our Setup Managers as well as an assigned mentor in the department who will facilitate their learning and development throughout the program. Interns will receive on-the-job training in visual merchandising through the following:

 

·         Assist with onsite product setup and presentation for associates

 

·         Ensure quality assurance on site; spot-check sites for cleanliness; ensure space is free from clutter

 

·         Set individual volume output goals that align with department

 

·         Conduct regular analysis of product performance; identify trends, conduct competitive analysis 

Qualifications

  •  

     

    • Strong initiative and willingness to take ownership and accountability – self-starters who are willing to take on new projects
    • Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to learn about the business
    • Sincere passion for engaging with people and strong writing,  communication, and presentation skills to match
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
    • Aptitude and positive can-do attitude for solving problems
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Ability to thrive autonomously in a fast paced, ever-changing environment 
    • Current Junior or Senior in a four year Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited university 
    • Minimum GPA of  3.3
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Interest in fashion, retail, and vendor launches (ecommerce preferred)
    • Ability to work 25-40 hours per week
