  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance.
  • Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people in the field organization.
  • Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the Division and Corporation.
  • Develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the corporation for positions of responsibility. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the company.
  • Support and develop programs to allow the corporation to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees.
  • Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps. Areas of activity will include talent management through proper succession planning programs for key contributor and management positions, training and development programs for preparing employees for more significant responsibilities and general business development programs to enhance employee knowledge and understanding of the company.
  • Assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets.
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.
  • Develop and enforce policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the corporation. Included in this area but not limited only to the following would be programs for employee relations, sexual harassment, employee complaints and career development.
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce human resources policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. In particular, manage the human resource information systems database and necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the corporation.
  • Coordinate the activities, programs and strategic HR plans of other HR departments throughout the corporation.
  • Maintain knowledge of national HR policies, programs, Federal and state laws and amendments.
  • Manage other areas such as relocation, employee communication, employee safety, and health and community relations.
  • Participate in Budget meetings and support stores on how to properly manage budget and other financial measures of the Division.
  • Continue improving the programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization.


  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent years of experience
  • 8 or more years of applicable experience
  • Minimum of 5 years Labor Relations experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing multi-site locations
  • Solid and broad knowledge of Human Resources disciplines, which include: Staffing, Employee Relations, Engagement and Retention, Total Rewards, Labor Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Training/Management Development, policies and procedures
  • Detail oriented with strong capability for planning, prioritization and organizing
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and the proven ability to lead, motivate and organize teams
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource terminology, practices and their application required.
  • Strong PC (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Oracle)
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff
  • Strong communication, negotiations and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and comfort working in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Agility in dealing with immediate changes in the organization and projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise influencing the business strategy and shaping HR strategic direction.
  • Project management capabilities, with experience handling direct interaction with senior leaders.
  • Management experience, allowing the candidate to manage, both directly and indirectly, a skilled and highly motivated staff of HR teammates to consistently deliver high impact solutions that support the business area's ability to achieve goals.
  • Understands meaning and implications of key financial indicators.
