FREELANCE SAMPLE COORDINATOR – NYC - $13-15/hr

Our client is a globally recognized fashion house who is seeking a Freelance Sample Coordinator to assist and work cross functionally with all internal teams within their NYC studio.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $13-$15/hr

Position Overview: The Freelance Sample Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Design, Merchandising, Sales, PR/Marketing and Ecommerce teams.  The Freelance Sample Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining a clean and well-organized fashion closet, organizing styling supplies and resources, and coordinating upcoming product shoots with the design and samples team.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Freelance Sample Coordinator maintains and keeps organized accessories within the fashion closet
  • Responsible for all sample management including, steaming samples and organization of the samples and sample library
  • Responsible for all tracking, incoming and outgoing including assisting the Marketing team with all pulls and style outs
  • Organizes and orders styling supplies
  • Freelance Sample Coordinator assists with all photo-shoot and on set needs
  • Assists with merchandising the showroom for all internal and external meetings
  • Steams samples on set and manages hand tags during the course of the shoot
  • Maintains and keep organized accessories within the fashion closet
  • Maintains studio calendar and deadlines, set milestones and coordinate among different parties
  • Communicates with other departments and vendors on various projects
  • Freelance Sample Coordinator creates and updates presentations and brand guidelines 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Merchandising and retail knowledge
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player with a strong eye for fashion and experience with trend and competitive research
  • Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally with all internal teams  

 

Education Requirements:

  • Fashion, Design, and/or Merchandising degree 
  • Internships within the fashion industry
