FREELANCE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT - Children’s and Women’s Apparel

This role is for one of New York’s most well-known mass market fashion companies specializing in children’s and women’s apparel. This exciting, fast growing company is looking for a Freelance Production Assistant to join their Children’s division in their New York City Corporate Offices.

Salary/Rate: $14-15/hour

Position Overview: The Freelance Production Assistant will be working closely with the Design and PD teams. The Production Assistant will act as the liaison between the vendors, design, and development teams with relation to the supply chain and order status of the merchandise. They will act as the main support for the entire Production team in creating and managing orders, achieving deadlines, and meeting goals.

Responsibilities:

• Daily communication with vendors and factories abroad
• Oversee all incoming and outgoing merchandise
• Input all merchandise orders and manage updates
• Assure delivery and ship windows are met
• Work closely with the design team to assure product and quality standards are met
• Follow up with necessary testing and quality standards processes

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• 2-3 years of experience required
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to establish and foster relationships with partnering teams
• Ability to meet deadline demands
• Internship experience preferred

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree- or equivalent
