FREELANCE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Successful fashion client is looking for a freelance Product Development Associate in NYC.

• Review proto garments and check accuracy of proto request sheets 

• Create BOM’s and maintain accuracy of color components in FlexPLM 
• Create preliminary cost sheets from proto garments and proto request sheets 
• Monitor status of raw materials for color samples 
• Request color samples for Style Review Meetings, PR and Mkt. 
• Create color / material relationships in FlexPLM 
• Track and Check in samples 
• Participate in product development meetings with vendors as needed 
• Close working relationship with Design, Raw Material, Merchant, Production & Sourcing, regional offices and vendors 

Qualifications 

• 3-5 years related experience 
• Demonstrate strong, consistent problem solving abilities and result-driven communication with business partners 
• Keen written, verbal and electronic communication skills, computer proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 
• Basic knowledge of Flex PLM, preferred 
• Ability to be a team player and foster a commitment to teamwork with other associates 
• Basic knowledge of garment construction, preferred 
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
