FREELANCE MERCHANDISE ASSISTANT - Contemporary Fashion - DOE

This role is for an established contemporary fashion brand specializing in RTW and Menswear. This exciting, fast growing company is looking for a talented Freelance Merchandise Assistant to work in their corporate offices.

Salary/Rate: DOE

Position Overview: The Freelance Merchandise Assistant will be working closely with the merchandising and buying teams to set up new product options, create, and monitor purchase orders, assist with the creation and distribution of weekly sales reports and more. This role requires communication with cross functional teams and external partners.

Responsibilities: 

• The Freelance Merchandise Assistant creates and monitors all purchase orders
• Communicates daily with cross functional and external partners
• Supports merchandising team with daily needs
• The Freelance Merchandise Assistant manages all sample organization and shipment
• Follows up with stores on RTVs
• Creation of line sheets and necessary reference sheets
• The Freelance Merchandise Assistant conducts trend research regularly as needed 

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to establish and foster relationships with partnering teams
• Ability to meet deadline demands
• Internship experience preferred

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
