FREELANCE MERCHANDISE ASSISTANT – DOE – New York

This role is for an established contemporary fashion brand specializing in RTW and Menswear. This exciting, fast growing company is looking for a talented Freelance Merchandise Assistant to work in their corporate offices!

Salary/Rate: Open/DOE

Position Overview: The Freelance Merchandise Assistant will be working closely with the Merchandising and Buying teams to set up new product options, create and monitor purchase orders, assist with the creation and distribution of weekly sales reports and more. This role requires communication with all cross functional teams and external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Create and monitor all Purchase Orders
• Communicate daily with cross functional and external partners
• Support Merchandising team with daily needs
• Manage all sample organization and shipment
• Follow up with stores on RTVs
• Creation of line sheets and necessary reference sheets
• Trend Research

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to establish and foster relationships with partnering teams
• Ability to meet deadline demands
• Internship experience preferred

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree- or equivalent
