FREELANCE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
Our client, a luxury fashion group, is seeking a freelance Construction Project Manager for its corporate office in NYC. This position will last for 3-6 months and presents the option to go permanent.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drives results through coordination of Store Design, Construction & Vendors to ensure that the brand vision comes to life in store environments
- Collaborate with contractors and secure permits
- Own planning/execution/maintenance of Electrical, Plumbing & HVAC
- Manage permitting, landmark approvals, coding
- Oversee job sites throughout entire process
- Manage inventory (on-hand/orders) of fixtures and raw materials
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to understand critical functional milestones
- Responsible for all phases of new store openings, fixture roll-outs etc.
- Closely monitor cost, schedule, quality of projects
- Clearly outline and share schedule of projects with whole team and leadership
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, business or related field required
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in construction
- Must have experience working with 4 wall retail stores
- Superb organizational, collaborative, prioritizing and project management skills
- Logical, methodical and intuitive thinker
- Self-starter capable of operating with little supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through
- Ability and willingness to travel
