FREELANCE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Our client, a luxury fashion group, is seeking a freelance Construction Project Manager for its corporate office in NYC. This position will last for 3-6 months and presents the option to go permanent.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drives results through coordination of Store Design, Construction & Vendors to ensure that the brand vision comes to life in store environments
• Collaborate with contractors and secure permits
• Own planning/execution/maintenance of Electrical, Plumbing & HVAC
• Manage permitting, landmark approvals, coding
• Oversee job sites throughout entire process
• Manage inventory (on-hand/orders) of fixtures and raw materials
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to understand critical functional milestones
• Responsible for all phases of new store openings, fixture roll-outs etc.
• Closely monitor cost, schedule, quality of projects
• Clearly outline and share schedule of projects with whole team and leadership

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, business or related field required
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in construction
• Must have experience working with 4 wall retail stores
• Superb organizational, collaborative, prioritizing and project management skills
• Logical, methodical and intuitive thinker
• Self-starter capable of operating with little supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through
• Ability and willingness to travel
