FREELANCE BEAUTY PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

We are looking for a Freelance Beauty Product Development Coordinator in NYC!! This individual will support Product Innovation team, administrative tasks, data entry, samples organization and distribution - library maintenance, competitive purchases 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for follow up, tracking and coordination of all vendor related issues. Meets with vendors as needed. 
• Communicates all vendor related issues to the Manager/Director 
• Responsible for routing and gathering all product development questioners and samples for testing 
• Maintains timeline with Marketing Operations for issuing Product Development Request Form and Product Approval form 
• Recommends new product ideas and participates in brainstorming meetings 
• Evaluates products for aesthetics color order and appearance 
• Responsible for tabulating results of sample testing 
• Responsible for monitoring the competition, through reading trade journals and competitive shopping 
• Responsible for organizing and updating all lab standards 
• Attend status meetings and Product and Package Development meetings (PPD)

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Excellent interpersonal skills 
• Ability to work independently 
• Able to handle multiple priorities effectively and efficiently 
• Must be proficient in MS Windows applications 
• Knowledge or experience in department’s functional beneficial 
• 1-3 years experience in product development in a beauty or personal care organization
