Active Wear- Movement Sales Director
Free People Wholesale
Overview: Responsible for the development of the Free People Movement Division by maintaining the Free People aesthetic and launching the active wear line in all key Department and Specialty stores throughout the US.
Responsibilities:
Sales Execution:
- Develop and execute strategies with key management teams to launch the movement business and deliver sales
- Deliver sales and shipment numbers per the budget while managing inventory levels and mix
- Build six month flows and manage all financial planning
- Manage all global tradeshows
Assortment Execution:
- Work with Global VP, Senior Management and Merchant Team to create a balanced assortment in terms of value, price point, style/sku count and key item depth
- Continually create newness in concepts by adding freshness to the selling floor assortment
- Responsible for reporting on weekly best sellers and implementing replenishment systems with key partners
- Responsible for managing all orders to calendar goals
Market Skills and Awareness:
- Represent the brand with integrity and authority
- Manage and build our Free People Movement division using your existing relationships as well as cultivating new relationships
- Manage and recruit all Independent Reps throughout the US
Communication and Leadership:
- Communicate clearly, concisely, timely and professionally
- Be a team player and a healthy competitor
- Keep individual , division and total company goals in mind when making decisions
- Provide leadership to employees and to peers and fosters an environment of continual training and development
- Support the recruiting effort of the brand by bringing in new talent and selling the company to those we wish to attract
- Be able to speak to all aspects of the business
Required Skills:
- Must have strong relationships with Department Stores Buyers and key Specialty Stores
- Must understand Open to Buy
- Must have 5+years of wholesale active wear experience
- Experience managing Assistants and Account Executives
