FOOTWEAR MERCHANDISER / DESIGNER

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Build line from conceptual sketches to final approved prototypes
• Sketch line based on line plan and conceptual direction.
• Develop color palettes per line per market
• Select materials from swatch books for detailing of line
• Build line using materials that cost out to hit target prices
• Send out tech packs
• Present line to sales based on line direction
• Communicate daily with oversees office regarding sample status, and confirmation status

Competency :

• Footwear/Apparel Market Trend research, Product lifecycles
• Photo shop, Excel, Word
• Strong Illustrator skills for packaging design
• Sketching skills
• Design packaging concepts
• material knowledge
• retail market awareness
• communication/writing skills all current in-use brands.  
• Design packaging
• Trend research
• Trend boards
• Shopping market
• Competitive analysis reports
• Support creation of sales catalogs/line sheets
• Showroom presentation
• Organization back stock
• Sample check-in
