FABRICS INTERN

Perry Ellis International is seeking a Fabrics Intern for our Miami headquarters.  This is a 10-week paid Internship that offers you real-life exposure to our dynamic, creative, and fast-paced industry.  The Intern will work alongside our product and sourcing team.

Description:

• Assist in organizing the fabric library.

• Shadow team members and learn how to do fabric constructions.

• Learn how to weigh and check submittals that come in from vendors.

• Work with the design team to understand their needs for next season, and look for affordable alternatives if possible.

• Work on presentations to show new development from vendors to design teams.

• Create google data base of the new technologies available.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Fine Arts, Fabrics or related field preferred.

• Currently enrolled and attending an accredited College/University is required.

• Passion for textile, fabrics and color preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize projects and multi-task.

• Ability to succeed in a team environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Applications.

• Schedule is Monday through Thursday from May 22nd- July 27th (Intern must be able to accommodate this schedule).
