Talent Acquisition / Sourcing Specialist - Talent Acquisition Team

At HBC we are a company of adventurers who explore uncharted territory, challenge convention, and work with imagination and fun.      Role Profile:   The Talent Sourcer / Research Associate reports to the DVP, Talent Acquisition Stores. They will support the Talent Acquisition team by developing innovative sourcing strategies and challenge conventional methods to surface, evaluate, and pipeline candidates. They will be exposed to designing and implementing research strategies while collaborating with Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Management on an assignment basis. This role is essential to the team and applicants must be able to thrive in a high pressure, fast moving, and evolving environment.   Location:Brampton, Ontario    Responsibilities: (Assist in) Building World Class Teams
  • Develop a 360 degree approach to candidate generation strategies including but not limited to; social media, cold calling, internet research, etc.
  • Develop talent pipelines through building strategic relationships with key candidates to deliver upon both immediate short-term and strategic long-term needs for HBC.
Delight The Customer
  • Engage with talent acquisition teams across North America and at times hiring managers to fully understand the role or business that you are sourcing for.
Think And Act Like An Owner/Operator
  • Gain a deep understanding of the talent landscape in your area; build a competitive intelligence knowledge base of companies and map talent within those companies.
  • Leverage your market knowledge and sourcing skills to develop tailored sourcing and job posting strategies to engage a diverse population of candidates.
  • Strong focus on the candidate experience; Inspire passive candidates through a personal engagement approach, leveraging our heritage and passion about our future.
  • Track candidate relationships in Taleo.
  • Perform initial phone screens.
  • Proactively identify and track new recruiting technologies, resources and professional services; advise Recruiting team & Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS Personal Characteristics:   The successful candidate should be focused on creating a delightful and engaging experience for both the candidate and Hiring Manager, through consistent, timely, and professional communication. He/she will embody a culture of taking smart risks and innovating to win and to think like an Owner/Operator.   Qualifications:
  • University Degree or College Diploma
  • Social networking technology aptitude
  • Recruiting experience demonstrating capability in creative sourcing techniques with a proven track record of innovation.
  • Core Competencies include project management, high sense of urgency, organized, effective listener, strategic, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, highly analytical, strong time management, team player but can work independently as well
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook and the ability to learn new technology quickly.
