POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director GSC manages the entire process of finished goods while delivering and executing consumer focused product & supply chain strategies, achieving budgeted financial and inventory goals for the corporation. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Deliver supply chain solutions that drive top line profitable sales
• Understand divisional goals (quantitative & qualitative)
• Understand and drive managing to total cost of ownership of products (MMU) to the business unit they are serving.
• Drive & deliver divisional CFI’s and GI’s
• Make recommendations on strategy.
• Collaborate and drive process innovation and improvements
• Collaborate and drive calendar discipline.
• Actively manage vendor relationships through performance management on quantitative and qualitative metrics (KPI’s)
• Collaborate with demand & supply Chain Planning functions to ensure timing & accuracy of 12 month rolling forecasts
• Plan procurement to ensure product is purchased in the most cost efficient manner, optimizing inventory turns.
• Understand competition, macro-economic landscape and keep abreast with industry trends, trade regulations etc.
• Recruit, retain, teach and mentor a team of 3-6 people committed to a shared value system of integrity and collaboration. This includes imparting knowledge and actively coaching all direct and indirect reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:  

• 10+ years of experience in apparel, fashion lifestyle or similar industry.
• Solid understanding of product life cycle management including inter dependencies.
• Experience should  include budgeting, product procurement, SKU management, pricing strategies, product development, product re-engineering,  supply chain management, calendar management, quality & process control
• Must have first-hand experience with change management & risk mitigation.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree o equivalent. MBA or master’s degree a plus

• Strong ability to analyze data with excellent critical reasoning skills.
• Strong business acumen with a financial focus.
• Executive level communication & presentation skills with a comfort level around senior management.
• Drive for results and continuous improvement.
• Strategic mindset and ability to act with agility
• Highly comfortable with change and ambiguity.
• Must have led and managed a team of associates with varying skill sets, across multiple product categories.
