Director Product Development Operations (Global Supply Chain) - CALVIN KLEIN

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate flow of product creation information and critical path management from concept to pre-production
  • Create, Own, report out and continuously improve product creation KPI’s
  • Responsible for proactive workflow balancing and resource allocation across the product technical teams
  • Responsibility to implement solutions to ensure 3R’s (right work, right place, right people)  
  • Work across the matrix to maximize leverage opportunity’s for the global corporation
  • Responsible for process improvement and sustainable solution driven root cause analysis within the product creation process from concept to pre-production

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Owns product creation from pre seasonal tools through to concept to pre-production critical path flow
  • Creates and drives completion of product creation KPI’s and real time leadership dashboard views
  • Understands and educates cross functionally the critical path interdependency’s and cause & effect
  • Appropriately and pro-actively escalates with solutions issues pertaining to product creation.
  • Tracks on and reports out operational excellence
  • Report out and continuously improve data integrity
  • Continually review and pro-actively balance resources across the product technical teams
  • Coaching, inspiring and leading a team of technicians within product creation.
  • Accountable to establish, explore and educate  product creation SOP’s and Best Practices

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 15 – 20 years of experience in Technical Design, product development, manufacturing environment; 5 year’s min in a leading / influencing role

Education: Degree and or similar in related field.

  • In depth product development knowledge and critical path management
  • Project management
  • Ability to sleuth root cause and create sustainable solutions
  • Actively seek continues improvement and a solution orientated mindset
  • Possess leadership presence and leadership courage
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills across all levels.
  • Ability to successfully navigate a corporate matrix and collaborate across a matrix
