DIRECTOR of SALES - Accessories

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Sales Executive in Accessories (Handbags/Jewelry) Retail and Wholesale industry
  • Excellent sales track record; proven ability to effectively close sales
  • Proven partnerships with major retailers
  • Strong knowledge of department store business
  • Must have strong business acumen; strong Retail Math skills
  • Expertise in assortment planning and merchandising
  • Strong presentation skills-must be comfortable and confident in running meetings, presenting to customers and standing by designs, product, business plans …etc.
  • Team player with the desire to form working relationships across multiple departments and streamline processes
  • Experience managing a team of people and desire to form strong relationship with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in working with partnering with design teams to line-build
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • Must have strong verbal and written skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell and manage multiple brands
  • SKU/Line planning
  • Financial Planning/ Business Forecasting
  • Weekly communication with customers
  • Increasing orders and building sales
  • Formulating business and exit strategies with effective and timely execution
  • Set and run meetings as needed with internal teams and customers
  • Help prepare and merchandise showrooms for Market
  • Market Weeks: sell, receive feedback on product, interpret customers’ needs and requests, develop a strong understanding of their business and interpret to increase sales
  • Seek out and acquire new customers and businesses
  • Work with internal partners in the company (design team, production, customer service) to achieve overall financial goals
  • Weekly business analysis
