DIRECTOR OF REPLENISHMENT

 

Position Summary:

The Director of Replenishment is responsible for the execution of the replenishment strategy across the entire organization and translating it to the replenishment group to ensure the right replenishment product (down to the SKU level) gets to the right store at the right time.  The Director will be responsible for managing and developing a team of approximately 5 Replenishment Analysts dedicated to setting and executing appropriate replenishment strategies and developing, creating and utilizing analysis tools to increase sales, maximizing inventory turn, and minimizing markdowns.  

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

The Director of Replenishment is responsible to:

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of replenishment strategies to the stores, with a mindset of driving gross margin and inventory productivity
  • Develop, coach, and evaluate Replenishment Analysts
  • Maintain close relationships with GMMs, DMMs and VPs of Planning/Allocation to understand overall business strategies, and how replenishment can be used to drive business results
  • Work closely with teams on specific replenishment strategies by office
  • Provide replenishment training to the merchant organization, and represent replenishment in Vendor Meetings as needed
  • Actively participate in the Monthly Forecast and Monday Meeting process to present a point of view on replenishment trends and receipt forecasts
  • Partner with Logistics/Transportation organization to identify supply chain opportunities
  • Identify and direct the development of new and upgraded systems to support the Planning, Allocation and Replenishment processes

 

Requirements/Qualifications:
    • Four- year college degree
    • 5-7 years of retail experience; 2-3 years inventory planning or allocation experience
    • Proficient in business-related computer software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel)
    • Experience with dynamic replenishment systems
    • Strong technical skills and ability to mine large amounts of data for actionable insights
    • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
    • Aggressive in pursuing opportunities and driving allocation excellence
    • Creative in finding opportunities and solving problems
    • Innate curiosity, constantly looking internally and externally for better ways to do the job
    • A flexible mindset that can quickly adapt to new thought processes
    • A passion for coaching and developing talent, and sharing knowledge quickly across the organization
    • Ability to work with and influence a wide cross section of leaders across the organization
