POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, Global Analytics is responsible for identifying and implementing the appropriate research methodology and supporting techniques to understand global brand performance, consumer insights and business opportunities. The Director develops and contributes in the development of the research strategy and implementation of that strategy globally. The Global Director works closely with internal teams, vendors and the VP, Global Media and Analytics ensuring the successful execution of all fieldwork, global monthly tracking studies and quarterly consumer insight presentations. Upon completion of all research tasks, the Director reviews the collected data; authors reports and makes business-oriented and strategic recommendations based on past performance, market dynamics and a consumer first mentality to the internal teams for future initiatives and campaigns.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

Consumer Insights, Research Development and Data Analysis

  • Develop strong internal relationships with Marketing, Creative, IT, and Operations, which support consumer related initiatives
  • Partner and collaborate with internal teams and leadership to understand and document all business objectives
  • Identify and implement the most appropriate research methodology and techniques
  • Designing qualitative and quantitative research plans for products in all stages of the Product Life Cycle
  • Designing qualitative and quantitative research plans for understanding consumer behaviors, habits, passion areas and motivations
  • Designing research questionnaires and moderator guides
  • Working with external vendors to oversee the fieldwork initiative
  • Interpreting data, writing reports, and making actionable strategic recommendations for future marketing programs to deliver positive business results
  • Quarterly Consumer Insights briefings globally to key stake holders and senior leadership to affect long term business decisions

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years within the custom Research industry
  • Strong industry/sector experience
  • Academic and practical experience with a wide array of new product, brand, advertising and customer satisfaction research methodologies
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities
  • Strong analytic skills with experience in statistical modeling and analysis 
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Presentation skills
  • Bachelors or advanced degree in business, mathematics, or the sciences
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong influencing ability
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Ability to work in a cross functional, matrix environment
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Creative problem solver
