DIRECTOR, COLOR & PRINT

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Color & Print Director to lead our LeSportsac design team.  Will be responsible for the concept, color, design; executes prints and color for all collections including exclusives and collaborations.  Identifies and presents current trends and forecasts future trends.  Manages artist studio, flow and process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS include the following:

• Concept, execution and presentation of global print collection.
• Oversight seasonal color palettes.
• Work collaboratively with team in Japan, merchandising and marketing.
• Direct exclusive print development & execution.
• Manage global collaboration collections.
• Direct and create exclusive collaborations.
• Create artwork for any and all collections, as needed.
• Develop seasonal trends, including trim and logo color coordination.
• Present new Color, Concept, Print and business ideas.
• Oversees and aids when necessary:  Create repeats, separate colors, colorways and engineered prints.
• Close collaboration with product design teams to ensure accurate interpretation of line plans & brand vision.
• Assign tasks, objectives and the like to direct reports, and through coaching, performance evaluation, and feedback, assist those direct reports in performing their duties and achieving their objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Manage department expense budget

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in textile design or related field.
• 10+ years’ textile color and print design experience with 1+ years of management experience.
• Excellent leadership, presentation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
• Excellent sense of Contemporary Design, sense of color & layout.
• Drawing skills and print design skills required.
• Ability to travel.
