Digital Tech

Job Description

The Digital Tech is responsible for organizing and maintaining sets and studio equipment; including cameras, computers, lighting and grip gear and monitor calibration. The techs will work closely with stylists shooting on mannequins and is responsible to process images and ensure they meet our quality standards. The tech will also be required to shoot to standards, alternate shots of certain top items (shoes, handbags etc). This role is also required to assist in other areas of the studio when needed, including image editing. 

The Digital Tech will also:

• Assists on set and works with stylists shooting items on mannequins
• Photographing of alterative shots for table top items (shoes, handbags etc.)
• Processes images according to our standards
• Execute highest of standards by setting up lighting, composition, color accuracy, and exposure for each shot.
• Manage the completion of tracking sheet execution and style guide lists.
• Administrative tasks related to the photo studio; involves building and preparing sets, calibrations, setting up lighting, props and accessories
• Inspect equipment (i.e. cameras and lights) for possible technical problems and communicate equipment problems with the necessary parties
• Undertaking other duties as may be required to ensure the smooth running of the business

Qualifications

• Post secondary degree or diploma in photography or related field
• 1-3 Years relevant experience
• Knowledge of photographic techniques such as lighting & composition
• Ability to work within deadlines, thinking creatively to increase productivity and throughput
• Results driven and a sense of urgency
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Phase One Capture One and Photoshop software
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to perform under pressure and demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to set priorities, problem solve multi-task and meet deadlines
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Operating experience of Mac OS
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment
