Position Summary

The Digital Merchandise Assistant is responsible for compiling, processing, disseminating and maintaining digital product content information and providing assistance to the Digital Merchandise Manager.   

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with CARS team to update, re-sync and revise attributes in CARS when necessary
  • Expand the product features & benefits as needed to ensure a positive user experience
  • Ensure all CARS have appropriate attributes selected, are located in the correct left hand navigation and are live on—check shop all
  • Complete assigned marketing briefs for channel page, homepage, targeted email and special projects
  • Obtain pricing and style information for site promotions through communication with merchants/buying office
  • Complete LTO spreadsheets for promotional offers, including writing rules, testing and providing featured styles for boosting
  • Assist with proofing all channel pages, homepage and email features during the v-review process
  • Complete link validation with production team
  • Assist Digital Merchandise Manager with ensuring all featured items are boosted
  • Provide assistance to merchants with social and interactive marketing efforts when necessary

Additional Responsibilities

  • Run weekly and monthly selling reports using Data Warehouse and Coremetics
  • Review homepage and landing page each morning – check links, pricing, GWP, rebates, monetate and boosted styles
  • Assist executing special projects including featured shops, banners, lifestyle/seasonal campaigns and other merchandising initiatives
  • Support Blue Martini tasks including: building folders, adding rules and deactivating/activating styles
  • Review online competition weekly
  • Aid in resolving customer service issues as needed
  • Work with fulfillment center, buying team and CARS team to expedite hot items or immediate ad needs
  • Assist Digital Merchandise Manager with SDF (drop ship) responsibilities
Issue help desk tickets for any issues that cannot be resolved by the Digital business team Administrative / Clerical
  • Prepare specification sheets for advertising
  • Administer sample programs for advertising
  • Knowledge of IMS 2 in order to pull results of circulars, tests, and special events
  • Copying, faxing, and filing for Buyer and Assistant Buyer
  •  Prepare Excel spreadsheets for report formats as required
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations as needed

Education, and Experience: 

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent years of experience
  • 0 or more years of applicable experience
  • Specific work or project experience: Experience shopping & browsing retail websites
  • Industry experience: Retail, Familiarity with online marketing programs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum Required:  

  • Proficiency with standard PCs and business software (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to multi-task in order to meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented to manage customer requirements and understand product; must possess organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Intermediate computer navigational skills


  • Demonstrated experience using reporting software (Tableau, Data Warehouse, etc)
  • Use analytical and reasoning skills to review data, arrive at fact-based conclusions, and recommend next-step actions
