The Digital Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting Michael Kors’ performance marketing program in EMEA. The role is focused on Affiliates, but also covers Paid Search (SEM), Natural Search (SEO), Paid Social, and Display. This entails day-to-day tactical execution of best practices with the web production, IT, merchants, creative, social, PR, translation, and editorial teams.  This role will support the Digital Marketing Manager in driving the overall performance marketing program. Teamwork, time management, strong communication skills, and attention to detail are critical aspects of this position’s responsibilities.

 

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Digital Marketing team with strategic development of marketing channels
    • Support day-to-day management of affiliate marketing program
    • Assist in developing campaign plans and recaps including tactics used, performance metrics, learnings, and recommendations for future campaigns
    • Manage internal marketing campaign database & ensure campaign tactics are up-to-date, such as marketing run dates, creative assets, and placement details
    • Perform competitive landscaping of the search; identify trends and areas of opportunity
    • Monitor competitor creative treatment on site, in display banners, and on affiliate publisher sites
    • Update marketing channel reports weekly
    • Compile and communicate relevant industry news & reports to the team

 

  • Assist in day-to-day communication with multiple external vendors and agency partners
    • Send creative assets to appropriate partners and ensure marketing is successfully launched on time and tracking properly
    • Provide agencies with up-to-date marketing calendars for promotions, new product launches, seasonal campaigns, bestsellers etc.
    • Request reporting (daily/weekly/monthly, and ad hoc) from agency partners and assist team with inputting data into internal marketing dashboards

 

  • The candidate will work cross functionally as a key point of contact for the Digital Marketing team
    • Manage and submit digital marketing asset briefs to creative and editorial teams
    • Liaise with CRM team to maintain up to date remarketing lists
    • Work closely with site merchants to identify opportunities to push specific products
    • Provide creative team insightful performance metrics & best practices to ensure assets are best in class

Perform keyword research to write proposed SEO copy (title tags, meta descriptions, etc.) for the EU websites

 

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to build reports and summarize data in meaningful way for the goals of the business
  • Good understanding of performance marketing channels for ecommerce business (especially Affiliates)
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance capabilities
  • Interest in luxury fashion
  • Team-player with excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, “self-starter” environment
  • Effective time-management and project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in line with business objectives
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Second European language is a plus

 

Qualifications

  • Performance marketing experience with an agency or brand
  • Marketing, Business, Analytics or related qualification is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with analytics tools including Omniture and Google Analytics
