DIGITAL ANALYST

 

Role Mandate:

The Digital Analyst works with Category Manger team to assist with clerical tasks and data entry related to specific merchandise departments of the company. The DA primarily assists the Category Manger Team by data mining the waitlist report to find sales opportunity across all categories, monitoring the fill levels for waitlist merchandise, accurately inputting price changes for flash sales, scheduling out flash sales, and assisting with the development of weekly sales reports. The position requires frequent communication with other members of the category manger team as well as with the distribution centers, digital marketing teams, merchandise planning and stores.

Responsibilities:

• Comprehends the basic merchandising process; displays and interest in the role: understands the importance of their responsibilities and the impact it has on the business.

• Possesses a solid understanding of Saks Fifth Avenue systems. Inputs, Transfers, Markdowns, and Purchase Orders into the SFA mainframe system accurately and on a timely basis.

• Completes assigned task thoroughly, accurately and on a timely basis. Pays attention to detail.

• Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Adapts easily to changes in workload and assignment.

• Exhibits proper phone etiquette; communicates in a professional and courteous manner.

• Effectively communicates with external sources; responsive to customer issues and store requests.

• Actively follows through with stores to ensure that transfers are processed in a timely manner.

• Works cooperatively with others. Displays a positive attitude and a willingness to assist co-workers at all levels. Adapts to and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups.

• Demonstrates initiative; anticipates needs of business/office and responds accordingly.

• Contributes to the success of the department.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• University or college degree

• Detail oriented

• Good organizational and clerical skills

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Strong computer skills - preferably MS Word and Excel

• Sense of urgency flexibility ability to multi-task
