Creative Direction / Design Team Management / Trend Analysis

Betabrand is an online clothing company that develops and releases new products daily. Our goal: To bring new designs to customers faster than any clothing label.

This approach has landed our designers’ products on the pages of the New York Times, Wired, WWD, GQ, Rolling Stone, and many more.

We're looking for a creative player to join our team. You must be a strong advocate of your designs and be able to clearly communicate WHY people want them. At Betabrand, that's not a marketer's job -- it all starts with you.

This is a career-building opportunity, because we celebrate our designers' achievements better than any other brand -- you'll connect directly with collaborators around the world and they'll know you by name.

We’re looking for a candidate with:

  • Strong industry experience across categories, fabrics and techniques from cut and sew knits to technical outerwear
  • Highly skilled in sketching and illustration and the ability to present your concepts in 2D
  • Exceptional collaborative spirit and willingness to partner in executing design-vision of others
  • An understanding of trends and marketplace insights
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims and technical garment construction
  • Ability to thrive with rapid-pace development
  • Superior talent in Illustrator and Photoshop
  • A love of calendars
  • Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience managing and mentoring junior designers
  • A bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design or comparable field
  • 5+ years in Men’s apparel design

Bonus Points:

  • A love for graphic design
  • Plugged into pop culture
  • E-Commerce experience
  • Clear understanding of Betabrand’s unique business model
  • Ability to Travel
