DESIGN ASSISTANT - Temp

rag & bone is currently looking for a Temp Design Assistant to assist our Women’s RTW Design team over a 5 month assignment. Tasks will include administrative support, such as creating and maintaining boards as well as an opportunity to conduct research for inspiration/trends and work on various design and construction trials. This temporary assignment is a great opportunity for someone who is early in their design career to learn and develop his/her skills. An ideal candidate will have experience or a demonstrated interested in WRTW design.

Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the design team
• Assist with CAD projects
• Research seasonal inspiration and trends and present to the team
• Assist the design team with creating and maintaining sketch, color-up boards
• Potentially tasked to assist with coloring up all sketches and
• Create boards for merch & sales review
• Work on inspirational swatches and mock-ups
• General organizational responsibilities including maintenance of storage areas, all of development binders, development fitting pictures, etc.

Qualifications:
• 1-2 years experience working in a design related role or internship
• Bachelor's degree in design
• Strong skills with CAD work in both Photoshop and Illustrator
• Preferred experience with Women’s or Men’s RTW
• Detail orientation/organized
• Demonstrates an understanding of rag & bone aesthetic and reference points
