DESIGN ASSISTANT - Skechers Mens

The Moret Group, a leading design house, located in the garment district of NYC is looking for an Assistant Designer- Skechers Mens .

Division:    Skechers Mens/Boys Activewear + Athleisure

Responsibilities:

• Assisting Associate Designer/Senior Designer on all stages of product development, for line goods and private label collections.

• Responsible for tracking all sourcing requests and follow up with overseas partners.

• Creating and updating CADS, and techpack detail sheets for both development and production stages.

• Primary liason between design and production department.

• Maintain color and trend books updating each season

• Manage all deadlines within Development/Production Calendar

• Assist in Labdips and Strikeoff approval

• All Sample tracking at all stages

• Attend fittings and maintain notes

• Creation of trend and presentation boards

• Maintenance and upkeep of design libraries and filing systems.

Requirements:

• minimum 1-2 years professional experience preferably in Activewear design.

• Strong illustrator Flat Sketching skills

• Knowledge of garment construction

• Must be well versed in Adobe Illustrator in a MAC environment

• Must be highly organized, detail oriented and a self-starter

• Ability to multi-task, trouble shoot and problem solve

• Ability to prioritize workload based on design calendar.
