Creative Product Development Manager, Shoes (205W39NYC) - CALVIN KLEIN

Facilitate the creative process through an accurate and cohesive flow of information between the Jimlar’s Product Development team in Italy and our internal teams in NY and Italy in order to ensure the integrity and the consistency of the designer’s message.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB: 

• Accurately update any necessary documentation and information that has to be shared with the Italian Product Development team

• Ensure an efficient and streamlined processes for costing, merchandising, marketing operation, industrialization and pre-start-up activities for production

• Coordinate with Product Development for budget control and costing (ownership Jimlar’s Product Development)

• Partner with design team in material research and development of leather/fabric swatches

• Manage and execute the cut ticket and detail sheets processes

• Prepare documentation for protos, samples and creative launches (Sketches, fabrics, leathers, metal hardware specs, and colors)

• Sketch coordination (styles codes, catalogue, overview and updates )

• Provide information to Jimlar’s Product Development team about materials to purchase for proto and samples, with input from designers

• Maintain a catalogue of all the seasonal materials and samples for the design team

• Manage the logistics of protos and samples deliveries

• Participate and support the designers and product development teams during any necessary follow up meetings

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:   5-7 years of experience as product developer is needed   

Education:   Degree in design & product development

Skills: 

• Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills
•        Possess high taste level
• Ability to work in an open floor plan and remain focused on priorities
• Highly organized and detail oriented
•       Flexibility to work long hours when necessary, high level of dedication
•       Strong collaboration and cross functional partnership skills
•       Strong organizational skills
•       Proficient in Italian language
•       Excel , Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
