Creative Operations Manager

Job Description

Role Mandate

The Creative Operations Manager is responsible for facilitating the development and review of all content for site, email, display and social media for (specific HBC banner), ensuring the successful design and implementation of digital initiatives and omni-channel campaigns. Creative Ops manages the flow of information and assets to and from the creative team, and monitors adherence to brand standards and creative deadlines.

 

The Creative Operations Manager will ensure effective processes and consistent experiences across all teams within creative (fashion editorial, copy, design), and will collaborate with partners (Category Management/Market Editors, Digital Marketing, Store Marketing/Creative, Merchandising Operations, and Project Management) on developing all cross functional initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

Manage creative process and workflow from creative brief submission to release of digital assets

Facilitate collaboration between fashion editors, copywriters and web designers

Review digital assets for accuracy prior to review by the cross functional teams

Attend asset review meetings and vet feedback for the creative team

Initiate creative concept meetings after content submission to drive collaboration between creative teams

Liaison with store print (creative) teams to foster creative asset sharing

Ensure campaigns are represented as a full omni-channel experience

Manage vendor approvals for brand assets

Create and manage timelines for photography, copy and design, and manage deadlines for creative assets

Develop and refine effective workflow processes, scheduling strategies, and communication models

Communicate obstacles and improvement opportunities

Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures

Supervise flow and quality of information into the creative team

Partner with project management on system integration and incorporating new processes, tools and workflow systems

Attend weekly enhancement meetings with development, production and the UX teams

Work with Director, Creative Operations to develop, maintain, communicate and train internal teams and external resources/teams on brand standards

Maintain understanding of all aspects of brand standards, design and production process

Arbitrate communication issues between business partners, creative operations managers and project managers within the PMO team

Qualifications

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in direct operational management:

Experience in handling issues around supervision, resource management, technology and workflow processesUnderstanding of design, copy, and photography within a fashion or retail business, and digital creative deliverablesProven track record of facilitating best in class creativeCommunicating and building strong connections with executive leadershipLeading and managing a department’s vision Championing both business partners and staff setting and managing business partners expectationsKnowledge of implementation and utilization of technologies that support creative team (workflow/project management, digital asset management/DAM) and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
