Major Responsibilities

 

 

 

The Corporate Recruiter is an innovative, strategic, passionate talent acquisition professional who reports into the Director Talent Acquisition.  They are responsible for managing the recruitment and selection activities across North America for their assigned client group. The corporate recruiter will be expected to develop new sourcing and recruiting strategies to fulfill open jobs and benchmark for future talent.

 

 

 

 

Role responsibilities include

 

  1. Manage full cycle recruitment: This includes, but is not limited to; research, sourcing (cold-calling), pre-screening, interviewing, qualifying, referencing, offer negotiation and placement management.
  2. Build strong internal relationships: Partner with Human Resource Managers and Hiring Managers to recommend, develop and implement recruitment strategies and programs. 
  3. Develop external relationships: Build and maintain critical role candidate pipelines and present findings to key business leaders and HR partners. Attend networking events and learning seminars and be a leader in talent acquisition representing HBC.
  4. Maintain top results and strive for excellence: Always meet or exceed recruiting metrics set out for the department.  Ensure the consistent hiring of top talent. 
  5. Identify Opportunities: Participate as an active member of the Talent Acquisition team, assisting with the development and realization of the Talent Acquisition strategic plans and goals.

 

Personal Characteristics

 

 

The successful candidate should be a respected and proven talent acquisition professional. He/she must be an excellent communicator, poses strong networking capabilities and be experienced with behavior based interviews.  He/she must be highly organized and able to plan and maintain a complex calendar.  The successful candidate will have proven results influencing and collaborating in a matrix organization and working with all levels of the organization including senior leadership.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Undergraduate degree and/or college diploma
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Corporate Recruiter 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Previous experience with  Applicant Tracking system, LinkedIn Recruiter and other Social Media platforms
