Corporate Counsel - Legal

Bass, among others is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join the legal team based in New York City.
Responsibilities:
Real Estate
- Provide support for existing retail presence and company leased facilities
- Negotiate retail leases, office leases, and provide legal support for related ancillary documents during lease terms
Product Licensing
- Draft, amend, interpret, etc. company product licenses
- Assist licensing division with negotiation of company product licenses
E-Commerce
- Provide support to retail team on e-commcerce matters
- Negotiate services agreements and related scopes of work for e-commerce platform
- Advise on issues related to privacy, data security and other related legal compliance matters
Corporate Compliance
- Provide company-wide training on compliance matters
- Draft, amend, interpret, etc. company compliance documents, including compliance plan and code of conduct
- Prepare corporate resolutions and related company administration documents
Employment
- Provide support to human resources department on general employment matters
- Advise human resources department on compliance with legal requirements
- Review and revise corporate and retail employee policies
Litigation Management
- Oversee and make recommendations about assigned general litigation matters
- Liaise with outside counsel regarding management of litigation filings, legal holds and discovery
Software Licensing
- Negotiate software license and other IT related arrangements
General Contracts
- Draft, negotiate and interpret contracts for division operations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience
- Strong academic qualifications
- Significant experience in negotiating and drafting complex agreements preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask
