CALVIN KLEIN 205 W39 NYC MEN’S DESIGN 

Our "halo" brand, under which men's and women's high-end designer apparel and accessories, as well as items for the home, are sold.  This line was formerly called Calvin Klein Collection. Representing pure, refined luxury, distribution is through our wholesale partners across the globe (in stores and online), through our retail flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City, as well as on calvinklein.com. Calvin Klein By Appointment, a bespoke collection, was launched in April 2017.

MEN’S DESIGN

Interns will have the opportunity to learn from influential and modern designers within the men’s design team under the creative vision of Raf Simons, Chief Creative Officer. 

The men’s design experience will expose interns to developing innovative construction techniques, fabrications and styling for Runway Pre-Fall and Fall presentations.  Interns will be able to provide support to the Design team during all stages of the design process, including assisting with the research of design concepts, creating presentations, and assist during fittings.

What to expect?

  • Research design concepts through the use of books, magazines and online resources
  • Assemble concept & mood boards for presentations
  • Assist designers with sketches & tech packs, create finishing’s in the atelier
  • Learn the purpose of the management of vintage inventory in sample closet  
  • Help design team set up for fittings

Candidates should possess:

  • Knowledge of art & design history
  • Ability to research independently and contribute to design presentations
  • Knowledge of garment construction in men’s and women’s
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Good collaborator and team-player approach
