CAD / PRINT DESIGNER

The Cad/Print Designer will work on all Cad and print development including print color ways, color separations, repeats and designing prints from scratch.

Create & manipulate original print & pattern artwork that’s brand appropriate with focus on t-shirt graphics – must be able to come up with original designs based on seasonal concepts & palettes

Color and re-color prints/graphics – must be able to color prints into color palettes and under direction from Design Directors & understand the importance of additional print accent colors. Needs to have great taste level and color sense with proven ability

Responsible for creating repeats, color separations, allover and placed prints

Maintain in-house digital library of print/pattern & graphics/placed prints and assign/organize CAD numbering system

Manage CAD responsibilities i.e. ordering ink, toner, paper, keeping track of CAD printer efficiency and service

Communicate with mills and assist in creating print packages

Qualifications:

• Excellent working knowledge of Photoshop & Illustrator, Kaledo knowledge preferred, strong knowledge of all software and design tools available to CAD/Textile designers

• Strong drawing skills, color sense, and ability to create/co-ordinate collections of print/pattern work

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Min. 3 years of CAD experience in similar or competitive market

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Textile/Graphics Design or equivalent
