CAD DESIGNER

- Strong understanding of the contemporary market

- creates pattern repeats and alternate colorways for developed prints

- will be doing a lot of color reducing

- redesigns and adjusts original artwork to create well-balanced designs

- provides production ready artwork, for both internal and external reference

- sends artwork to mills/vendors, and follows through until cuttings are received and logged in -collaborates with Design and CAD Design Manager on all colorway and repeat approvals

- collaborates with Design to create presentation materials

- calibrates seasonal color palettes

- effectively manages workflow and consistently meets deadlines

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or equivalent

- 5+ years of experience in CAD related work; apparel experience in similar/same market required

- strong eye for color and layout

- basic knowledge of print techniques and garment construction

- creative problem solver, resourceful

- excellent time-management and organizational skills

- detail oriented

- proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator
