CAD designer - Ivanka Trump Women's

Overview:

G-III Apparel Group, the world's premier designer and manufacturer of quality leather outerwear, dresses, women's suits, sportswear and accessories, with a comprehensive portfolio of over 30 licensed and wholly-owned brands, including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Guess?, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld, Levi’s, Dockers, Jessica Simpson, Vince Camuto, Ellen Tracy, Kensie, Ivanka Trump, and G.H. Bass, among others, is seeking a CAD Designer to join its team based in New York City.

Responsibilities:

• Create pattern repeats and alternate colorways for developed prints
• Redesign and adjust original artwork to create well-balanced designs
• Provide production ready artwork, for both internal and external reference
• Send artwork to mills/vendors
• Collaborate with Design and CAD Design Manager on all colorway and repeat approvals
• Calibrate seasonal color palettes
• Effectively manage workflow and consistently meets deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in CAD related work; apparel industry experience preferred
• strong eye for color and layout
• Basic knowledge of print techniques and garment construction
• Creative problem solver, resourceful
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Detail oriented is a must
• Kaleido is preferred
• Proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator
