BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - Handbags and Accessories Company

Summary of Position: The Business Systems Analyst will help manage the activities related to specification, design, development, documentation, testing and implementation. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a proven track record of successful innovation within a dynamic team environment. Some experience in the use, development, or management of ERP, WMS, and/or PLM applications is desirable.

Location: Fairhaven, MA

Major Functions:

  • Provide detailed analysis, design, and documentation of program logic, data files, screens and report layouts through user contact, goal analysis, feasibility determinations, logic design, systems flowcharts, resource evaluations, cost and time analysis, and detailed program specifications.
  • Lead assigned projects from inception through delivery with emphasis on delivering a high quality deliverable in alignment with the agreed to scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Work with programmers through the development of enhancements and lead the QA process.
  • Develop testing methods and test data. Perform unit and system testing, resolving errors. Demonstrate system and obtain user approvals.
  • Document present procedures, analyze requirements and recommend improvements in Brahmin’s use of technology.
  • Research system issues in effort to identify root causes in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Respond to all support requests in a timely, professional and quality manner.

Education, Knowledge, Training Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of experience within IT field.
  • Understanding of databases and experience working with SQL or database reporting systems and query tools.
  • Proven Program Management experience.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to collaborate well with 3rd Party providers.
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate well to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Independent self-motivated individual able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment interacting with and possibly leading multiple teams.
  • Team player with positive attitude.
