BRAND MANAGER - Temp to Perm
REPORTS TO: Wholesale Merchandising Manager
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Develop seasonal business strategic plan including selling incentives, selling days, client events, seasonal runway presentation, outreach for target groups and contacts and hotel and luxury condo concierge services
- Weekly reporting- Recap selling, missed opportunities, in store events, brand awareness and client development and submit to Max Mara Corporate and buying office every Monday
Training & Brand Awareness
- Train sales team on product features and benefits, fit, fabric prices and availability
- Follow up on merchandise requests, special order, reserves and delivery
- Periodic merchandise caravans, highlighting new receipts and top trends collection
- Send seasonal visual guide electronically to all selling associates
- Send personalize seasonal visual guide to personal shoppers
- Coordinate looks and styles (all Max Mara brand blended) for sales associates VIP clients
- In depth product and sales training for home base sales associates
- Attend clinics throughout the store to understand other offerings, meet sales associates and create blended looks (brand +Max Mara)
Merchandising & Visual
- Maintain visual standards of the boutique (steam, button, replenish) and maintain folded and hung merchandise presentation
- Collaborate with Max Mara visual team on bi-monthly merchandise moves and mannequin changes
- Stock maintenance (labels, buttons, spot cleaning) including organizing back stock by size and classification
- Work with stock manager on arrival of merchandise deliveries
- Check bar for retickets and MOS, Prep for physical inventory
- Prep boutique for seasonal sale
- Procedure for outgoing RTV, samples and transfers
- SKU search for previous season merchandise
Client Development
- Develop client book strategies for home base associates. Work with home base associates to develop strong knowledge of Max Mara clients- existing and new, (lifestyle, sizing, style preferences, contact).
- Implement consignment/memo services for established clients
- Encourage follow up for shipping, alterations, and purchases
Buying
- Preview collection with Max Mara AE prior to market appointment. Prepare notes for market appointment based on previous season’s selling by delivery, classification, sizing and best selling styles.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION
- BA degree
- Minimum 2-4 years of Sales experience; Product experience in luxury and RTW a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Ability to build relationships, utilize skills of workforce most appropriately.
- Ability to merchandise and manage shop operations effectively.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
- Ability to maintain a fair, consistent set of standards as they apply to work force.
- Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and provide instructions to all employees.
