Brand Manager - CK Handbags

Overview:

G-III Apparel Group, the world's premier designer and manufacturer of quality leather outerwear, dresses, women's suits, sportswear and accessories, with a comprehensive portfolio of over 30 licensed and wholly-owned brands, including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Guess?, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld, Levi’s, Dockers, Jessica Simpson, Vince Camuto, Ellen Tracy, Kensie, Ivanka Trump, and G.H. Bass, among others is seeking a Brand Manager to join the Calvin Klein Handbags team based in New York City.

 

The Brand Manager works in partnership with their stores to manage overall business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to driving sales results and profitability, maintaining visual presentations, customer relations and conducting trainings.

Responsibilities:

Sales

  • Responsible for driving assigned store’s sales and profit. Meet sales goals, drive full-price sales.
  • Analyze sales and inventory on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis to track and determine the needs of the business; monitor stock levels, sales plans, and assortments.
  • Recap daily sales updates, top sellers and opportunities, visual updates, customer experience, and action plans.

 

Train

  • Motivate, train and develop associates and in-store management.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, seasonal (and as needed) trainings on product knowledge and Calvin Klein standards.
  • Provide fashion direction and knowledge.
  • Implement visual presentation -- merchandising from showroom and directives.
  • Develop and elevate relationships with retail partners.
  • Hold in-store teams accountable for the timely processing of new receipts from the dock on to the selling floor.

Communication

  • Maintain clear, consistent, and organized methods of communication with G-III Apparel Group and retail partners.

Customer Service

  • Utilize clientele book to develop personal client base to drive sales
  • Resolve all client issues quickly and effectively

 

Operations

  • Partner with store team to ensure stock room standards and operations.
  • Partner with store team to ensure all deliveries are properly processed and on the selling floor timely.
  • Partner with store team to ensure markdowns are taken timely and efficiently.
  • Partner with store team to ensure sales floor is recovered and filled in at all times.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fashion education a plus
  • Conversant in the fashion industry spectrum from design and creation to finance and distribution
  • Solid business and marketing expertise through work experience

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years in retail sales/management
