The candidate will possess exceptional technical skills with a minimum requirement of 3 years design experience.  

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creative process and lead the development of BlankNYC men’s.  Product must be on-brand, consistent, and saleable.
• Create illustrated sketches, cads, tech packs and updates throughout the development cycle.
• Research trends, fabrics, trims, wash and create inspiration boards.
• Communicate daily with overseas factories to ensure all development, fabric approvals, wash and lab dips are submitted.
• Ensure first protos and sales samples are well executed and on time as per calendar.
• Attend all fittings from proto to production.
• Travel to China a minimum of twice a year to develop seasonal collections.

Requirements:

• Degree in Fashion Design with 3 years minimum of design experience in denim.
• Highly skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel.
• Must have solid understanding of garment construction, denim and non-denim finishing techniques and current wash processes.
• Experience with overseas development process.
• Work with sales on exclusive developments and open to input.
