ASSOCIATE MENSWEAR DESIGNER - Fast Fashion Retailer —DOE

Our client, a Fast Fashion Retailer in New York City, is actively seeking a detail oriented Associate Designer to join their hardworking team!

In this role, you will support the development of all menswear collection categories. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a deadline-driven work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Create tech packs, flats, pattern layouts, and mood drawings

• Oversee all color and print approvals

• Receive, track, and comment on strike-offs

• Process bought prints and prepare art for factories

• Organize all submits by season

• Participate in market appointments, trade shows and sales meetings

• Support Senior Designer with additional tasks, as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 2+ years of experience in apparel design and production

• Bachelor’s degree in apparel design, fabric arts, or related field preferred

• High taste level and fashion aesthetic

• Strong hand sketching skills are a must

• Strong knowledge of garment construction and patternmaking

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
