Associate, Item Setup
Job Description
The Associate for Item Setup is responsible for ensuring a superior
customer shopping experience as a result of executing the online merchandising
and product information strategy for multiple categories of business. The
objectives will be met by ensuring category merchandising is reflective of the
site merchandising strategy for assigned areas of business. The position will
also be accountable for ensuring timely and accurate setup and production of
all products and assortments. They are also responsible for achieving topside
sales plans, conversion goals, usability performance targets and corporate
objectives.
Primary
Goals
- Responsible for Item
setup, categorization and brand merchandising for multiple areas of
business
- Properly set up all new items
and define where items should be assorted in appropriate web folders for
optimal exposure and ensure timely live date
- Responsible for delaying items that are not validated. Responsible for
the resolution process for quality center defects as well as items not on site
in the Warehouse.
- Identify process and/or system inefficiencies on a regular
basis. Send items for select vendor
approval.
- Weekly sign-off on web
site publication; Ensure team has completed thorough quality assurance of
designated categories of responsibility
- Oversee the testing of all site content in coordination with weekly site
refreshes, and functionality.

and make recommendations to incorporate into business
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- · Understanding of retail ecommerce landscape
- · Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- · Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills
- · Minimum of 1 year experience in e-Commerce, retail site merchandising preferred
- · Familiarity with item onboarding and site analytics tools (e.g., Product Information Management Tool, Omniture or Coremetrics) and with content management tools
- · Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Power Point) and the ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes and additional software/web-based applications
- · Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems
- · Proven ability to function well in a collaborative environment
- · Strong aptitude to work within deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
- · Ability to work effectively with and present to individuals at all levels
- · Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and willingness to take on responsibilities outside primary job description when necessary
