Associate Designer, Women's Knits & Sweaters, CK Calvin Klein - CALVIN KLEIN

The Associate Designer works closely with the Knits/Sweaters Design Team as the line is being developed.  The Associate Designer maintains the continuity of design development for CK Calvin Klein Women’s Knits/Sweaters.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Senior Designer in knit/sweater category with developing sketches based on initial sketches and concepts.  Maintain the progression of design in the senior design team’s absence.
• Present ideas based on sketch.
• Conduct research on fabric/trim/trend and color.
• Participate in creating color palettes, research and maintain colors.
• Help produce fabric presentation cards.
• Create tech packs.
• Assist in developing initial concepts.
• Assist in preparing presentation boards.

CRITERIA/PROFILE

• 2-3 Years of previous work experience
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proficiency in garment construction, with a background in womenswear and knits/sweaters a must.
• Proficiency in sketching illustrations.
• Experience creating tech packs and communicating fit details to product development /factories
• Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills. 
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to establish good relationships with key parties and department staff.
• Flexibility to deadline demands, seasonal schedules.
