Associate Designer Women's Active Outerwear

The Associate Designer will work closely with a Senior Designer and the Head of Design through all steps of the design process.

• Create all aspects of design tech packs, including specs. for activewear and woven active outerwear
• Sketch new styles on Illustrator
• Daily correspondence with overseas factories, making sure sample details are clear
• Manage styles and keep protos and samples on schedule
• Create and keep linesheets up to date
• Review/ comment on lab dips
• Stay on top of activewear, active woven and fashion trends

• Clear and concise communication skills
• Excellent time management, organization skills and work ethic
• Experienced working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and sketching. Must be able to jump into sketching and CAD’ing efficiently in Illustrator
• Understanding building outerwear styles utilizing variety of trims, insulations and linings.
• Knowledge of working with prints and patterns in Adobe Photoshop and working between Illustrator and Photoshop
• Understanding and experience creating tech packs and spec’ing new designs and protos.
• Excellent eye for detail and proportions
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, juggle multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines
• Computer: proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Office
• Associate degree in Fashion Design required
• Experience working in activewear a plus; must have experience working with cut and sew knits and woven outerwear.
• 3-4 years of experience required
